ERIC CARLSON began his career in Pittsburgh, PA in banking, rising through the ranks quickly.  When the need for a creative outlet outgrew his darkroom, he gave up the necktie and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design.   As a student, interests in painting, photography, installation art, and design were explored.  With a B.F.A. in Furniture Design, he moved to Shanghai to meet and be influenced by Chinese artists, and to learn more about large-scale furniture manufacturing.  Eric continues with painting and design and teaches to earn his keep.
